As long as you don't put a lot of stuff in these drawers, you have no problems. The bottom of these drawers is a thin layer of particle wood so if you put a lot of stuff, it will easily weigh it down and it will begin to bow or break.

Overall this is great inexpensive furniture that looks good. It does chip easily and will probably not last more than a few years. But it's great for an apartment. My husband and I bought it to get us through apartment living for a few years before we get a house and a "real bedroom set". The one big negative is the depth of the drawers, they are really small. It was easy to assemble as long as you follow the directions line by line.
